Hello Humans,
Not everything you know can be explained immediately. That doesn't mean it's not worth listening to.
You're in a meeting.
Someone presents a plan. The numbers look reasonable. The slides are convincing. Everyone seems comfortable with the direction.
But, something feels off.
You can't quite explain it. Maybe it's the timeline.
Maybe it's an assumption nobody has questioned.
Maybe something just doesn't add up.
You stay quiet.
Later, you open AI, describe the plan and ask if it makes sense.
It gives you a balanced answer. Five pros. Three cons. A few sensible recommendations.
Everything sounds logical.
That uncomfortable feeling you had in the meeting? Slowly buried under all that tidy reasoning.
Two weeks later, the plan runs into exactly the problem you sensed in that room.
What happened?
Your gut wasn't predicting the future.

It was recognising something your conscious mind hadn't fully processed.
Years of experience.
Patterns you've seen before.
Small inconsistencies you've learned to notice.
Things that don't quite fit, even when you can't explain why.
That's not magic. That's accumulated experience.
And, here's what you risk losing when you constantly outsource your judgement:
You stop trusting observations you can't immediately explain.
You start looking for external validation before forming your own view.
Eventually, you may become very good at evaluating answers but less confident about making the first call yourself.
Try this
Next time something feels off, write it down in one line before opening AI or asking anyone else.
"Something about this timeline feels wrong."
That's enough.
Then investigate it.
Ask AI - To challenge your instinct, find supporting evidence, identify alternative explanations and test whether your concern holds up.
Your gut doesn't always have the answer. But sometimes it knows which question you should be asking.
Let AI test your judgement, not replace it.
See you in next learning to stay human for tomorrow.
Curiously yours,
Gaurav Jain
